About this role
Job Advert
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional operating at manager level to take on a high-impact role at a pivotal
point in the organisation's development.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will play a leading role in a significant finance
transformation programme, strengthening financial governance, improving systems and processes, and enhancing financial insight
across the organisation.
This position is offered as an 18-month fixed-term contract, with the initial focus centred on delivering a major finance
transformation programme. During this period, the postholder will have the opportunity to lead and implement meaningful change,
support the introduction of new finance systems, redesign processes, and help shape the future operating model of the finance
function. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys driving improvement, influencing stakeholders, and turning
strategic objectives into practical outcomes.
Subject to organisational requirements and the successful completion of the transformation programme, there is potential for an
extension of the role beyond the initial 18-month period, at which point the position would evolve into a broader Finance Manager
role. This second phase would focus on embedding and sustaining the improvements delivered through the transformation programme,
providing leadership and stability within the finance team, developing colleagues, and strengthening relationships across the
organisation.
The post therefore offers a unique opportunity to lead a significant change programme while also providing the potential to
progress into a longer-term Finance Manager position, making it ideally suited to a candidate who can both deliver transformation
and ensure its lasting success.
Explore the attached job description for full details on this exciting opportunity. Complete the application form explaining why
you are the right candidate for the role. In your supporting statement, demonstrate how your skills and experience meet the
requirements of the person specification, with particular emphasis on your experience of leading finance transformation,
implementing and embedding change, improving systems and processes, and delivering strong technical finance management. This will
enable the selection panel to assess your strengths against the specified criteria.
We review applications on a rolling basis and reserve the right to close applications early. We therefore encourage you to apply
as soon as possible.
