Sister / Charge Nurse

About this role

Lead a high-performing donor team delivering safe, efficient blood collection sessions and an outstanding donor experience. As the clinical expert, you’ll ensure donor eligibility, manage and escalate adverse events, and uphold the highest regulatory standards. You’ll drive quality and productivity through strong leadership, staff development, and data-led improvement, while deputising for senior leaders as needed. This is a dynamic, shift-based role (3 days per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays) where donors and patients are always at the heart of what you do.

Facilitating donation NHSBT promotes flexible working opportunities where the role will allow. 27 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time) plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 29 days after 5 years’ service and to 33 days after 10 years.
