About this role
To be responsible for the provision of Dental Nursing skills supporting the clinician in the delivery of Dental and Oral Health Care. To maintain the efficient running of the Dental Service environment, maintaining clinical professional development and registration. While based at HMP sites the post holder may be required to travel to provide dental nursing or reception cover at other dental sites as per service need.

- Maintain clinical registration and uphold and adhere to General Dental Council Standards at all times
- Be an ambassador for the Service, upholding the values of the Trust’s behaviour framework in the discharge of duties and in professional relationships with peers and managers
- Provide chair side support to clinicians promoting the highest standards of excellence in working practices to ensure the delivery of high quality, patient focused care
- Chaperone clinician at all times during patient treatment
- Ability to travel to other dental sites on any given day
- Maintain 100% compliance with all required mandatory and statutory training requirements, ensuring compliance does not lapse
- Participate in Appraisal and Personal Development process as required
- Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the work environment, adhering to controls identified in risk assessments
- Ensure daily maintenance regimes and checks are made and recorded to ensure correct functionality of equipment, reporting any malfunctions
