Clinical Practice & Patient Care Deliver Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and effectively in line with national guidance, local policies, and competency frameworks. Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, including pre-treatment review, toxicity assessment, and ongoing monitoring throughout treatment cycles. Recognise, manage, and escalate treatment-related complications, including acute oncological emergencies. Provide patient education and support, ensuring patients and families understand treatment plans, side effects, and self-management strategies. Act as a key clinical resource for complex oncology patients, supporting continuity and coordination of care. Clinical Leadership & Support Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day guidance to junior nurses and support staff within the SACT service. Support induction, supervision, and competency assessment of nursing staff delivering SACT. Act as a senior clinical presence, supporting safe staffing, skill mix, and escalation of concerns. Promote a culture of learning, reflective practice, and continuous improvement within the oncology team. Governance, Safety & Quality Ensure compliance with SACT governance frameworks, including national chemotherapy standards, COSHH, and medicines management requirements. Participate in clinical audit, incident reporting, and investigation, contributing to shared learning and service improvement. Support the maintenance of accurate and timely clinical documentation, including electronic patient records. Contribute to preparation for regulatory inspections (e.g. CQC) and internal quality assurance processes. Service Development & Improvement Support service development initiatives aimed at improving patient experience, safety, and efficiency within oncology services. Contribute to pathway development and review, ensuring alignment with best practice and organisational strategy. Engage in quality improvement projects, audits, and peer review activity. Work collaboratively with consultants, pharmacists, and the wider MDT to optimise patient outcomes. Professional Practice Maintain professional registration and competence in line with NMC requirements.Undertake ongoing CPD, mandatory training, and role-specific competencies.Act in accordance with Circle Health Group values, policies, and professional codes of conduct. WHAT DO YOU HAVE? Essential Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration. Significant post-registration experience in oncology nursing. Level 6 or 7 qualification in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT). Proven experience delivering SACT independently and safely. Strong understanding of oncology pathways, treatment regimens, and supportive care. Demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and medicines management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations. Desirable Advanced oncology qualification or working towards one. Experience in a senior or specialist nursing role within oncology or haematology. Experience contributing to audit, service development, or quality improvement initiatives. Experience working in private healthcare or a multi-disciplinary acute setting. Teaching, mentorship, or assessor qualification. WHAT SORT OF PERSON ARE YOU?
