Randstad Education is seeking an experienced and proactive Primary Teaching Assistant for an immediate vacancy at Primary School in the north of Horley. This is a critical role requiring a dedicated professional to provide stability and support for our pupils through to the Easter holidays.

The Role

Working within a vibrant primary setting, you will provide essential classroom support, ensuring students remain engaged and on track with their learning objectives. As this is a backfill position, we need someone who can "hit the ground running," quickly building rapport with students and supporting the class teacher effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering 1

1 and small group interventions to support academic and emotional progress.

-

Implementing classroom strategies to ensure an inclusive and focused learning environment.

-

Assisting with the preparation of resources and classroom management.

-

Adhering to the school's safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.

Requirements (Essential)

-

Experience

Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.

Availability

Must be able to commit to 5 days a week (08:30 - 15:30) for the full duration of the contract.

Transport

A driver's licence and access to a vehicle are highly preferred to ensure reliable travel to the north end of Horley.

DBS

Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to process one immediately).

Skills

A nurturing approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a new school environment quickly.
