Micallef Jewellers is a proud independent family run retail and manufacturing jewellers established in 1982. We have 3 stores across Kent.

At the heart of Micallef Jewellers is our in-house workshop where we create bespoke items, repair, and restore old jewellery.

As a business we are committed to offering quality jewellery with personal and friendly service. We pride ourselves on being approachable and accessible by all our customers.

The role

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a retail assistant in our busy Rainham Kent branch.

We are looking for a candidate with a genuine can-do attitude to help push our business further.

• Applicants MUST have proven track record in an in store retail environment with a passion for jewellery.
• Previous retail experience in jewellery will be advantageous.
• The successful candidate will be reliable, commercially aware, people, sales and client focused.
• Applicants must be trustworthy and must have a good presentable appearance as well as being of a friendly personable disposition. You will have a natural ability to interact with our customers and communicate with colleagues.
• You must be able to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines, have excellent attention to detail with a flexible approach.

You must be enthusiastic and willing to learn, as the job will cover many different areas including

• Working with a small sales floor team day-to-day.
• Multitasking
• Creating a welcoming atmosphere and a great one to one customer experience.
• Developing and maximising sales opportunities.
• Advising customers on repairs and alterations.
• Processing jewellery repairs for the workshop.
• Changing watch batteries.

You must have natural organisational skills and good computer and social media skills/knowledge.

To be successful you will need a genuine passion for jewellery and be eager to push yourself beyond your comfort zone.
