- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the unique learning needs of each student
- Collaborate with the wider school team to develop and implement holistic support strategies
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching approaches as needed
- Maintain detailed and accurate records, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and self-confidence
- Liaise effectively with parents/carers, providing regular updates and working together to support each child's development
- Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a classroom setting
- Thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience in implementing effective support strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies and SEND best practices
