About this role

Following an expansion of our nationally recognised service, we are seeking a motivated Senior Paediatric Audiologist to join our team at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

This predominately clinical role focuses on high-level behavioural hearing assessment and rehabilitation for infants and children (6 months+), with a significant emphasis on our Complex Needs pathway. While the role does not initially include ABR, it is designed for a clinician eager to drive service development, clinical audit, and the mentoring of junior staff. You will play a key role in maintaining our UKAS accreditation,ensuring the service consistently meets IQIPS standards for quality and patient safety. Clinical Responsibilities

  • Lead behavioural hearing assessment clinics for a diverse paediatric population, including those with complex developmental and additional needs.
  • Manage the full rehabilitative pathway, from initial hearing aid fittings to ongoing reviews, ensuring evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
  • Ensure all clinical activity adheres to IQIPS/UKAS quality standards and Trust clinical protocols.

Leadership & Development

  • Provideclinical supervision, mentoring, and pastoral support to junior audiologists, trainees, and apprentices.
  • Drive service innovation through structured service reviews, clinical audits, and engagement in departmental research initiatives.
  • Contribute to the safe strategic expansion of the service

Location & Working Pattern

  • Alongside our main site at St Thomas' we run clinics at our satellite sites in Gracefield Gardens (Lambeth), Sunshine House (Southwark) and Kaleidoscope (Lewisham). With the planned expansion of the service an additional satellite site location is being sought within Bromley, Bexley or Greenwich.
  • We are committed to fostering a healthy work-life balance and champion modern working patterns. The majority of our clinical team operates on a compressed four-day week (08:00–18:00). Typically, your week will be balanced between 2–3 days at St Thomas' and 1–2 days at a satellite clinic, offering a diverse and stimulating working environment.
