The Role

We are a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Crawley seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our hard-working Inclusion department.

In this role, you won't just be "helping out" in a classroom; you will be a vital lifeline for students with diverse learning needs. You will work closely with teaching staff to adapt resources, provide one-to-one support, and foster an environment where every student-regardless of their starting point-feels capable of achieving their best.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting students with SEND (Special Educational

Needs and Disabilities) in 1

1 or small group settings.

-

Assisting the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a focused learning environment.

Helping to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress.

Building strong, trusting relationships with students to boost their confidence and engagement.

About You

You understand that progress looks different for every child.

You can spot where help is needed before being asked.

A strong communicator

You can explain complex ideas in simple, accessible ways.

Qualified/Experienced

Previous experience in a school setting or a relevant NVQ Level 2/3 is desirable, but a "can-do" attitude and a commitment to safeguarding are essential.
