Brook Street are currently recruiting for an Operations Officer to join a specialist government organisation involved in important investigative and safety work across the UK and internationally.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration and communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organisation, and professionalism really matter.

Working as part of a small and supportive Operations Centre team, you'll play a key role in helping coordinate responses, supporting investigations, and ensuring critical information is handled efficiently and accurately.

The Role

No two days are the same in this varied operational support position.

Duties will include

  • Managing calls to a reporting line and accurately recording incident information
  • Supporting duty coordinators with operational enquiries and follow-up activity
  • Maintaining and quality-checking information within internal case management systems
  • Assisting with investigation support activities and stakeholder communications
  • Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to public and organisational enquiries
  • Coordinating travel and accommodation bookings for operational deployments
  • Updating records and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Providing wider administrative and operational support to the team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • A confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Able to handle sensitive conversations calmly and empathetically
  • Comfortable managing a varied workload in a busy environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • A strong team player with a proactive approach

Previous administration, operations, customer service, or coordination experience would be beneficial.

Location

The office is based in Aldershot, near Farnborough. Free secure parking and bicycle storage are available on site. Please note this location is not served by public transport.
