HGV Class 1 Driver

Class 1/Logistics ManagerWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 Driver / Logistics Manager to support a major event project at BST Hyde Park, London.This is a unique opportunity for a professional and organised HGV Class 1 driver to be involved in the logistics operation of one of the UK’s biggest live event sites.

Pay Rate

• £19.00 - £20.00 per hour

Role Overview

The successful candidate will collect a loaded trailer from our client’s yard in Thurleigh on 9th June before travelling to Hyde Park, London. Once on site, you will play a key role managing trailer movements and coordinating site logistics throughout the event period.

Duties will include

• Shunting trailers around the event site• Managing inbound and outbound vehicle movements• Coordinating logistics operations on site• Communicating with transport teams and project managers• Ensuring trailers are moved safely and efficiently between designated areasDue to the nature of the role, candidates must have previous transport/logistics management experience and be confident working within a busy live-event environment.

Shift / Work Dates

Load In

• Travel & work – 9th June• Work on site – 10th June to 20th June• Travel home after final shift

Load Out

• Travel – Sunday 12th July• Work on site – Monday 13th July to Saturday 18th July• Travel home after final shift

Additional Information

• Hotel accommodation provided while working on site• Pre-event meeting with the Project Manager at the Milton Keynes yard required before starting• Important operational role within a high-profile event environment

Requirements
