What skills and experience we're looking for
Sussex Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a motivated, committed and professional individual to join Billingshurst Primary as Deputy Headteacher. Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher will play a central role in providing clear vision, leadership and direction, driving school improvement.
We are looking for someone who
- Demonstrates a professional and confident approach to working with colleagues, with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships
- Can lead, motivate, support and challenge staff to secure continuous improvement in teaching and learning
- Has high ambition for pupils and staff, with a clear focus on raising standards and improving outcomes
- Shows a strong understanding of how different roles within the academy contribute to whole-school effectiveness, and can support others to fulfil these roles well
- Builds excellent relationships with children and brings a genuine commitment to, and enjoyment of, the role of school leadership
