As a Kitchen Porter with ISS UK, you will be at the heart of the action and will play a key role in our catering operation, assisting with the deliveries, preparation and service of food while keeping an excellent standard of cleanliness and safety.
The Role
Organise cleaning materials for daily use and liaise with the line manager to replenish required stocks when low
Collect all rubbish from bins and kitchen areas, replace with clean liners, and remove all refuse from the building
Keep all surfaces clean and remove any stains or spillages
Ensure all kitchen areas are left clean and tidy at all times, including cleanliness of the fridge, preparation and sink areas, washing of glasses and crockery, and restocking cupboards
Only use company-approved chemicals when cleaning
Wear the required protective clothing where necessary
Wash all kitchen and front of house floors using approved chemicals and appropriate signage
Replenish crockery, equipment and utensils in front of house
About You
Enthusiastic and positive approach to work
Catering experience is preferred, but a positive, can-do attitude is essential
Good understanding of the principles of food hygiene
Able to follow instructions, while also using initiative to make appropriate decisions in the best interests of the customer
Customer-focused, ensuring every customer has an excellent experience
A determined team player who works well with others
