We’re looking for a skilled and detail‑driven Assembly/Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the assembly, build, and final preparation of Servomex products, ensuring each unit meets strict quality and technical standards.

This role is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with a Monday to Friday working pattern starting at 07.30am (please see working schedule below).

About the Opportunity

Build Servomex products following standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering drawings, and specifications.

Assemble small, delicate components with high precision.

Fully comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.

Investigate and fault‑find nonconforming products, completing reject documentation and corrective actions.

Maintain a high level of accuracy and quality throughout the build process -

Produce, update, and maintain build records and documentation.

Organise your work area effectively to manage changing workloads.

Cross-train across multiple product lines to broaden your skills.

Work under ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control conditions.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, delivery, and cost.

Perform basic testing of completed analysers when required.

About your Talent

Even if you don’t have all these skills yet, if you’re eager to learn and enjoy working with delicate components, we would still love to hear from you.

Hands-on experience in electronic, electrical or mechanical assembly would be a distinct advantage.

Previous assembly experience within an instrumentation or similar technical manufacturing environment would be a great plus.

Understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques and production workflows would be of great interest to us.

Strong organisation, time management, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Ability to train colleagues and share process knowledge.

Team leadership capabilities.

Education / Qualifications

Essential

GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4 (C) or above, in science or engineering-related subjects.

Desirable

BTEC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.

Crowborough, East Sussex, UK

Please note the work schedule below if you intend to use public transport to commute. Crowborough train station is an approximate 10-minute walk from the Servomex site.

Job Type

Fixed Term Contract, full time, 38 hours per week – 12 months

Work Schedule

Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:15 and Friday 07:30 to 12:30

You will receive appropriate rest and meal breaks as part of a supportive and well‑structured working environment.

Salary range

circa £28,000 per annum

Servomex considers several factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
