We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Kier Places - Building Solutions team based in the Maidstone and South.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Building Solutions South team, where you'll play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of construction projects. Working on schemes ranging from £5m to £15m, you'll be part of a supportive team delivering high-quality refurbishments and building projects for valued clients across the region.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Building Solutions team, supporting them in delivering projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Your day to day will include:
-Managing commercial resources and maximising project gross margins through effective contract placement and control
-Tendering, evaluating and appointing subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
-Measuring, valuing and agreeing work progress to support customer invoicing and supplier payments
-Identifying and negotiating contract variations with customers and suppliers
-Building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with clients, consultants and the supply chain
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if
-You have experience in a similar quantity surveying role within construction
-You hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying is desirable)
-You possess clear communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with diverse teams
-You're organised, able to prioritise effectively and work well to deadlines
-You're comfortable using IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke systems
