About this role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive person to join the established Headache Specialist Service at ESHT. This is a full time, permanent band 4 post.

Dependent on your experience and with the support and supervision of the Headache Specialist Team, you will over time, provide information and support to people with headache disorders to help them manage their condition. In addition to working collaboratively with the team to manage the administration of the Headache service.

Whilst previous clinical experience is desirable, training, support and development will be provided.

Main duties, tasks & skills required

The Headache support worker will work closely with the Headache specialist team to ensure individual needs of people with Headache across ESHT are met in line with NICE guidelines. This will include management of the headache service database and associated administrative duties, ensuring patients have timely follow up.

The post holder will deliver patient-centred, self-management support and education as necessary to noncomplex migraine patients, including lifestyle modification, trigger reduction and management of acute attacks.

The post holder will have excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively with a number of different disciplines.
