Up to £36,500 per annum | Full-Time, 40 hours per week

They are now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Manager, help lead the team, and play a central role in maintaining the warm, nurturing culture that sits at the heart of everything they do.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above - essential
  • Current experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or Third in Charge - essential
  • A warm, nurturing leadership style that reflects the nursery's home-from-home ethos
  • Solid understanding of EYFS and early childhood development
  • Confident supporting and developing a nursery team
  • Passionate about outdoor learning and making the most of well-designed outdoor environments
  • Reliable, organised, and a strong communicator with families and staff alike

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day leadership and operational running of the nursery
  • Acting as a visible, hands-on leader - present on the floor and actively supporting the team
  • Helping to maintain the nursery's warm, homely environment where children feel safe and happy at all times
  • Overseeing EYFS delivery, ensuring activities and routines are engaging, consistent, and developmentally appropriate
  • Making full use of the nursery's specially designed outdoor space to enrich children's daily experiences
  • Supporting staff development, mentoring, and day-to-day team management
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Deputising for the Nursery Manager when required, maintaining strong leadership and continuity
