Quality Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Quality Managerto lead the Quality Management System across our Pathology service. This is a key leadership role ensuring our laboratories meet ISO 15189 and all regulatory, accreditation and governance requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the Pathology Quality Management System.
  • Lead the department through UKAS, HTA, MHRA and other inspections.
  • Oversee risk management, incident processes and internal audit programmes.
  • Support continuous improvement through KPI monitoring and data analysis.
  • Line manage the Quality & Business Officers and provide expert guidance to clinical and managerial teams.
  • Deliver QMS-related training and ensure documentation is controlled and up to date.

About You

  • Relevant degree and qualification/experience in Quality Management.
  • Experience with ISO standards and quality systems (ideally ISO 15189).
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, manage competing priorities and drive improvement.
  • NHS or healthcare experience is desirable.
