Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional looking for a dynamic role at the heart of international diplomacy? The US Embassy in London is hiring, and we want you on our team!
This isn't your average logistics job. As a Shipment Clerk at one of the world's most prestigious diplomatic missions, you'll play a vital role in keeping US Embassy operations running smoothly. You'll coordinate the movement of government and private property across international borders, navigate customs clearances, and build relationships with government officials and vendors.
You'll be part of the General Services Office (GSO), a fast-paced team that keeps the Embassy mission-ready every single day.
What You'll Do
• Coordinate shipments — manage all inbound and outbound logistics, prepare documentation, and ensure full regulatory compliance
• Handle customs clearances for the Department of State and partner agencies
• Manage finances — verify invoices, maintain payment records, and track shipping expenses
• Build relationships with government officials and vendors to facilitate smooth clearances
• Maintain records — keep the shipment database current and process Exemption Certificates
• Supervise loading and unloading operations on the ground
