Highways Operative - Eastbourne
We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Highways Operatives to join our growing team working on highways and infrastructure projects across Eastbourne and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic who are looking to build a long-term career within the highways and civil engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general highways maintenance and groundwork duties
- Assist with road repairs, drainage, kerbing, paving, and reinstatement works
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Set up and maintain traffic management where required
- Follow all health & safety procedures on site
- Work as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard
- Support supervisors and site management with daily tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in highways, civils, groundwork, or construction preferred
- Valid CSCS card essential
- Streetworks / NRSWA ticket advantageous
- CPCS or NPORS plant tickets beneficial
- Good attitude and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK driving licence preferred
