Estate Technician

  • £29,293 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our team, supporting a portfolio of sites across the area. In this varied and hands-on role, you will play a key part in delivering an effective and high-quality estate maintenance service. You will primarily focus on grounds maintenance, cleaning, and general handyperson duties, ensuring all sites remain safe, clean, and well-presented.

The role of

Estate Technician will include

  • Carrying out routine grounds maintenance, including upkeep of outdoor spaces and landscaping tasks
  • Delivering effective cleaning services across multiple sites
  • Undertaking general maintenance and handyperson duties, including minor repairs
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company standards
  • Monitoring site conditions and report any issues promptly
  • Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensuring accurate daily work records are completed
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract specifications and escalate complaints as appropriate
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks and ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and method statements and the manufacturer’s guidance
  • Carrying out all hazardous tasks, such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines and in a safe manner, ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements

Skills and experiences

  • Practical and hands-on with experience in maintenance, cleaning, or similar roles
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, comfortable with lone working when required
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage your time effectively
  • British institute certificate in cleaning services (BICS), NVQ 2 in Horticulture or similar or willing to work towards
  • Pesticide Application Certificate PA1 – PA6 or willing to work towards
  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking grounds maintenance, caretaking, general cleaning and basic repairs duties
  • Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal / customer care skills
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
