This busy, warm professional family with three energetic and creative children, aged 10, 8, and 5 years old are looking for a sole charge, full time Nanny housekeeper. Both parents work full time; the mother works predominantly from home but travels to London one to two days per week and occasionally further afield for work. They are looking for a highly capable, cheerful and experienced Nanny/Housekeeper to become a trusted and central part of their household. This is a live-out position. The role is a full-time, permanent position working five days per week, Monday to Friday, for 45 hours per week • 7:15am – 5:45pm (Tuesday and Thursday) • 9:30am – 5:30pm (Monday, Wednesday & Friday) The successful candidate will need to be comfortable starting earlier on some days and finishing later on others, in line with the family’s schedule, but will be paid at the hourly rate for any time over the hours contracted. The children are sporty, full of energy and love being creative. They thrive with structure, outdoor activities, and plenty of fun. During school holidays, the children typically attend sports camps, but also love organised day trips and outings. They would welcome a candidate who enjoys planning and accompanying children on visits to galleries, parks, nature reserves, local attractions and beyond. Key Responsibilities Childcare • Full wraparound care of three children before and after school •
School runs
dropping off and collecting children punctually each day • Supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities, both at home and on outings • Accompanying children to sports activities, playdates, clubs and appointments • Planning and leading holiday activities, day trips and visits • Supporting children with homework and reading • Preparing nutritious, family-friendly meals and snacks for the children • Bathtime and bedtime routines as required Nursery & Laundry Duties •
All children’s laundry
washing, drying, ironing and putting away • Name taping new uniform, clothing and kit • Keeping children’s rooms tidy, organised and well-stocked • Monitoring and replenishing children’s clothing, school supplies and toiletries as needed Housekeeping • General cleaning and tidying of the family home to a high standard • Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and surface cleaning throughout the house • Changing and laundering bed linen • Family food shopping — in-store and/or online • Keeping kitchen and household stores stocked and organised • Managing household schedules, deliveries and day-to-day logistics • Ad hoc household errands as required Pet Care • Assisting with the care of the family’s miniature wirehaired dachshund, including feeding, walking and general welfare as needed on days when the mother is travelling or away Requirements • Experience as a nanny, nanny-housekeeper or in a similar private household role • Full, clean UK driving licence and a confident, safe and responsible driver — use of a family car will be available, or petrol reimbursed for use of your own vehicle • Experience caring for children of primary school age • Genuine warmth, patience and a positive, energetic approach • Excellent cooking skills for children’s meals • High standards of household management and cleaning • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy household • Reliable, trustworthy, discreet and professional • Comfortable working in a home where a parent is often present •
Salary
£18-£20 gross an hour ( £42,120-£46,800 Gross per annum ) and 20 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays in addition to annual leave, time off between Christmas and New Year in addition to the above • This is a live-out position • Use of a family car provided for work duties, or petrol reimbursed for use of your own vehicle • Pension contributions in accordance with auto-enrolment legislation please get in touch for more details or apply below for this fantastic role!
