Duties of a

Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

• Diagnosing vehicle faults accurately using manufacturer-approved diagnostic tools
• Servicing and maintaining vehicles according to manufacturer standards
• Repairing and replacing faulty components and systems
• Advising service reception teams on necessary repairs and providing time estimates
• Conducting system repairs and testing to ensure optimal vehicle performance
• Maintaining detailed and accurate repair records
• Verifying the correct functioning of vehicles post-repair
• Assisting in fault analysis and technical troubleshooting to improve workshop efficiency

Requirements of a

Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician or Service Technician within a main dealership or equivalent workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic skills with comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems
• Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of quality
• A passion for automotive repair and a desire for professional development
• Full UK driving licence
