This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some Building Control experience who is working towards Building Safety Regulator (BSR) registration and wants to build their technical expertise across a varied range of projects.

About The Role

As an Assistant Building Control Inspector, you will support the delivery of a high-quality Building Control service, helping to ensure that buildings across the borough are safe, accessible, sustainable and compliant with Building Regulations.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will

Undertake site inspections and plan assessments

Check Building Regulation applications and maintain accurate records

Provide guidance to applicants, contractors and members of the public

Assist with dangerous structures work and enforcement investigations

Liaise with internal departments and external agencies

Support the delivery of an efficient, customer-focused Building Control service

You will work with increasing autonomy while continuing to receive guidance and support from experienced colleagues and senior inspectors.

About You

We are looking for someone who

Has some Building Control experience and is Registered as a Class one RBI

Is working towards Level 2 BSR registration

Has strong communication and organisational skills

Can work professionally as part of a team

Is confident dealing with a variety of customers and stakeholders

Can manage their workload effectively and maintain accurate records

Is keen to continue developing professionally within Building Control

A current full driving licence is essential, as the role involves site visits across the borough.
