We have a unique opportunity to join the laboratory services section of the Microbiology & Virology Laboratory.

The section provides a key role in the stock management and waste management of the laboratory.

The role will involve manual handling of deliveries, ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked, and completing regular audits.

The role involves working in high and low temperature areas.

Hours are Monday - Friday core hours, with the potential for bank holiday/weekend working.

Stock management including manual handling and heavy lifting of stock & waste disposal containers.

Safe handling of a range of different chemicals and highly infectious waste.

Identify and troubleshoot issues.

Communication with internal and external staff regarding stock management and waste disposal.

This role involves handling patient samples for waste management purposes only, you will not be working directly in the laboratory for diagnostic tasks.
