To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills

  • Experience working with students with PMLD or similar complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students and their families
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability, with the capacity to think on your feet and find creative solutions
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of students with PMLD
  • A relevant teaching or educational support qualification, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
