Consultant in Renal Medicine

The post holders will undertake two general nephrology clinics per week within the dedicated renal centre at Northwick Park. The clinic will have a standardised template of 4 new and 8 follow up patients and reflect a mixture of face to face and telephone clinics. The clinic is well supported by specialist nurses and health care assistants. The job includes taking a share of the on-call work on the Hammersmith Hospital site on a 1-in-10 nephrology rota including weekend ward rounds covering one of the Nephrology inpatient wards (1 DCC). This would involve a daily weekday and weekend ward round and board round at the hospital
