We are seeking a dynamic Strategic Support Officer to work closely with the General Secretary and senior colleagues across the

organisation helping to organise teachers and build the Teachers’ Union. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role at

the heart of the union. The role will help to design and deliver high-impact campaigns that advance our industrial priorities,

will

· Support the development and implementation of industrial strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities

· Help to develop and initiate national policy-based campaigns, translating strategy into action

· Work to develop and deliver plans that build member engagement, activism, and visibility

· Work collaboratively across teams to ensure a coherent, joined-up approach to campaign delivery

· Support the design and implementation of initiatives that build activism and strengthen member participation

This is a role for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and hands-on delivery; where no two days are the same.

We’re looking for someone who combines strategic insight with practical delivery

· Proven experience in planning and delivering national campaigns, ideally within a trade union, membership organisation, or

similar environment

· Strong track record of developing and supporting engagement strategies that inspire participation and activism

· Ability to translate policy and strategic objectives into clear, compelling campaign activity

· Excellent engagement skills, with the confidence to work across teams and at senior levels

· Experience in messaging, digital campaigning, including knowledge and experience of relevant software

· A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational and coordination skills

applications from individuals from underrepresented groups.

If you’re ready to help shape campaigns that matter and build a stronger, more active union, we’d love to hear from you.
