Overview
A family in Sutton are looking for a reliable and organised Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support the day-to-day running of their home.
This is a part-time, hands-on role focused primarily on housekeeping, with some light support for the children in the afternoons. The children are older and fairly independent, so this is not a nanny-led role, but someone who can be a steady and helpful presence after school.
The role would suit someone practical, proactive and easy to have around, who enjoys keeping a home running smoothly and is happy to support where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- General housekeeping including cleaning, tidying and maintaining the home
- Laundry and ironing
- Keeping the home organised and running smoothly
- Preparing simple, fresh family meals where needed
- Occasional errands such as shopping or household tasks
- Being around after school to support the children as needed
- Occasional help with local school or activity drop-offs where required
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a private household
- Good housekeeping skills and attention to detail
- Organised and able to manage day-to-day tasks independently
- Comfortable around older children
- Friendly, calm and reliable
