Teaching Assistant Opportunities - September 2026 Start

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and forward-thinking school community from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
  • Assist pupils with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, and Speech & Language needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver tailored learning support

Provide both 1

1 and small group interventions

  • Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Work flexibly across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3

We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting young people with additional needs.

Essential Qualities

  • Experience working with SEMH needs or a strong desire to develop in this area
  • Understanding or experience of ASD, ADHD, and Speech & Language needs
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development
