The Opportunity
Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in North Croydon from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Science across KS3 and KS4 (with potential KS5 depending on specialism), within a well-resourced department committed to delivering engaging and practical lessons. The school fosters a strong culture of curiosity, academic achievement, and student development.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 & KS4
* Prepare students for GCSE examinations in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
* Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively
* Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
* Support pupils with varying abilities, including SEN where required
* Contribute to departmental planning and practical learning activities
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Degree in Science or a related subject
* Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
* Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
* Passion for science education and student progress
* Commitment to safeguarding and high teaching standards
