Our client, a leading educational provider in Hayes, Greater London, is seeking a passionate and experienced Part-time SEN Tutor to join their dedicated team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special educational needs, helping them to reach their full potential.

As a Part-time SEN Tutor, you will work closely with our client's team of educators and support staff to deliver tailored, one-on-one learning sessions to students aged 5-18 who have a range of additional needs, including autism, dyslexia, and other learning difficulties. You will work within our client's modern and well-equipped learning facilities, which are designed to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assessing each student's individual needs and learning styles to develop personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies
  • Delivering engaging and interactive lessons that focus on core academic subjects, as well as life skills and social development
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to each student's educational journey
  • Maintaining detailed records of student progress and adjusting lesson plans as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes
  • Providing regular feedback and progress reports to parents and the wider educational team
  • Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and best practices for supporting students with special educational needs

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess

  • A relevant university degree or teaching qualification, with a specialism in special educational needs
  • Extensive experience working with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, including a deep understanding of different learning styles and teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider educational community
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach, with a genuine passion for helping students to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and ensure that all administrative duties are completed in a timely manner
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset, with the willingness to continuously learn and adapt your teaching methods to meet the evolving needs of your students
