Job Summary To provide a friendly, professional and efficient reception service to patients and visitors To support the practice team in delivering safe, high-quality patient care To undertake reception, telephone and administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice Main Duties Greet patients, check them in and support them with practice processes Answer telephone calls, take accurate messages and manage patient enquiries sensitively Book, amend and cancel appointments using the clinical computer system Support patient registration, repeat prescription requests and home visit requests in line with practice policy Maintain accurate patient records and file correspondence, reports and test results Support patients with online services and provide basic system guidance Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming reception and waiting area Open and close the practice following security and safety procedures Work as part of a team and carry out other reasonable duties as required Confidentiality, Quality & Governance Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times Follow health and safety and infection control policies Support continuous quality improvement and effective teamwork
