Pre-School Manager

Morning Glory Pre-School is a community-based, Ofsted-registered early years setting located in Leytonstone, in the London Borough of Waltham Forest. We operate from Cann Hall Methodist Church, offering sessional childcare for children aged 2–4 during term time. We are a government-funded provider with a strong commitment to inclusive practice and a dedicated team working to deliver high-quality early education.

Curriculum and Teaching Quality

Lead the development and implementation of a clear, ambitious curriculum that reflects the needs, interests, and next steps of all children

Ensure the curriculum intent is well understood by all staff and consistently reflected in daily practice

Strengthen the quality of adult-child interactions across the setting, with a particular focus on extending communication, language, and vocabulary

Ensure that the most able children are sufficiently challenged and that activities are adapted to meet the full range of developmental needs

Oversee assessment and planning processes, ensuring next steps are identified and acted upon for every child

Leadership and Management

Provide strong, stable, and visible leadership to a team of at least 6 staff, fostering a positive culture of continuous improvement

Act as the day-to-day leader of the setting, ensuring high standards of care and education are consistently maintained

Lead and embed the improvement actions identified in the January 2026 Ofsted inspection, working closely with the Waltham Forest local authority early years team

Conduct regular staff supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings, providing meaningful feedback and identifying development needs

Develop and implement a structured, planned programme of professional development for all staff

Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections with confidence, maintaining accurate self-evaluation and improvement planning
