History Teacher – Full-time, long-term supply starting as soon as possible

Duties as History Teacher
- Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons in line with the secondary curriculum
- Teach a range of historical topics across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Use effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress where required
- Work collaboratively with departmental colleagues and support staff
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school during the long-term placement
Ideal History Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge in History
- Experience teaching History at secondary level
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils across different year groups
- Adaptable, organised, and professional approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
