About this role

Applications are welcome for a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine at Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, for a 12 month fixed-term post.

The post holder will work with colleagues to ensure middle-grade cover 24/7 in the Emergency Department. A formal job plan will be agreed upon between the appointee and the Clinical Director on the commencement date of the appointee.

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Emergency Department. We are proud to have a clinically led Emergency Department and are expanding our Registrars team to support our service in a new EM facility.

The post holder will offer World Class Care to service users, staff, colleagues, clients and patients alike. The main duties include but not limited to:

To provide a first class clinical service to our patients.

To supervise and teach junior clinical staff.

To participate in the teaching, research, audit and governance programmes within the Department.

To develop professionally and take part in all service development.

To take part in all development and appraisal processes.

The post holder will work with colleagues to ensure middle grade cover 24/7 in the Emergency

Department. A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee and the Clinical Director

at the commencement date of the appointee.

The 10+2 PA contract consists of 11 Direct Clinical Care and one professional development

(SPA). The post holder will be expected to show evidence of effective use of the SPA to

develop him/her self or service in the department. The post holder will provide twenty four hour

middle grade cover which includes weekend and night working. The rota will be EWTD

compliant
