We are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a specialist Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Sidcup. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is experienced or interested in working within SEND education, primary teaching, and alternative provision settings.
This role is ideal for a committed educator who is confident teaching pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties, and who is able to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs.

Responsibilities
As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging primary lessons aligned with the curriculum
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
- Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to support mixed-ability and complex learners
- Manage and support positive behaviour in line with SEN behaviour management approaches
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and support staff
- Track and assess pupil progress in line with EHCP targets and learning outcomes
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and therapists
Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (essential)
- Experience teaching primary-aged children (KS1/KS2)
- Previous experience in a SEND school, SEN provision, PRU, or alternative education setting (desirable)
- Strong understanding of special educational needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Ability to differentiate lessons and adapt teaching styles effectively
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
- A positive, resilient and flexible approach to teaching in SEND environments
