Key Responsibilities

As an ECT SEN Teacher, you will

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated SEN lessons
  • Adapt teaching to meet EHCP targets and individual needs
  • Support pupils with ASD, MLD, and communication difficulties
  • Work closely with SEN Teaching Assistants and therapists
  • Monitor and track pupil progress effectively
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Engage in ongoing ECT mentoring and professional development

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or completing teacher training with QTS)
  • Strong interest in SEND / Special Educational Needs education
  • Understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Passion for working with pupils with ASD and additional needs
  • Excellent communication and willingness to learn
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
  • Right to work in the UK
