About this role
Action Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager or a strong Room Leader looking to step up. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-quality nursery setting in Eltham (SE London). We are looking for a passionate leader who knows the EYFS inside out and can inspire a team.
About the Nursery
This is a lovely, well-established setting in Eltham that prides itself on creating a "home from home" environment. You will be supporting the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education are met.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting, including staff supervision and rotas.
Curriculum
Ensure the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is delivered to a high standard across all rooms.
Partnerships
Build strong, trusted relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
Safeguarding
Act as a designated lead for safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
The Ideal Candidate
Qualification
Must hold a minimum Level 3 Qualification in Early Years / Childcare (Level 4/5 desirable).
Experience
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Third in Charge, or an experienced Room Leader.
Knowledge
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and the EYFS framework.
Skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
