Do you want to become an Occupational Therapist? This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to earn while you train.

You will be employed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant within theActon Mental Health Integrated Network Team (MINT), where you will play a key role in delivering occupational therapy interventions to service users. Alongside your day‑to‑day clinical work, you will undertake adegree‑level Occupational Therapy apprenticeship, supported by protected study time and off‑the‑job training.

The programme includes clinical placements in a variety of settings to ensure you gain a broad range of experience. You will need to be highly motivated, organised, and able to balance the demands of full‑time work with academic study. A genuine interest in occupational therapy and supporting people to live meaningful and fulfilling lives is essential.

The apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with London‑based universities, and travel to university campuses will be required. Appointment to this post is subject to meeting university entry requirements and successfully completing the academic selection process. The Trust will support the successful candidate throughout this journey.

1. To work under the overall supervision of a qualified occupational therapist to provide a client-centred occupational therapy service to a defined caseload of service users with complex needs.

2. To support the occupational therapist in the implementation of intervention plans aimed at helping clients to maintain and regain independence in functional abilities and promoting clients’ safety through the participation in everyday occupation

3. To complete the occupational therapy degree level 6 apprenticeship and gain full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) on qualifying.
