We are currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in South East London. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity starting immediately, ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, PMLD, SLD, and complex learning needs.

Provide 1

1 support and small group interventions

• Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, PMLD, and SLD
• Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
• Adapt learning materials in line with EHCP targets
• Support emotional regulation, communication, and positive behaviour strategies
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
• Previous experience working in SEND settings (essential)
• Background as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, LSA, Support Worker, Care Worker, or Youth Worker
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A proactive, adaptable, and team-focused mindset
• A genuine interest in supporting learners with additional needs and progressing within SEN education, teaching, or related fields
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience supporting children or young people in education, care, or support settings
• Familiarity with ASD, ADHD, PMLD, SLD, or complex needs (desirable)
• Competitive daily rate of £108-£112, paid weekly
