We're looking for a Senior Environmental Advisor to join our team.
Location
London. This role is project/site based, 3 days a week on-site (with some flexibility available).
Hours
40 Hours per week
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to develop into a more senior role whilst supporting the environmental aspects of our projects. You'll help deliver sustainability outcomes for our key clients throughout both the preconstruction and construction phases, working closely with teams to ensure environmental compliance and embed best practice across live projects.
What will you be responsible for?
As Senior Environmental Advisor, you'll be working within the environmental team, supporting them in delivering sustainability and environmental excellence across our projects. Your day to day will include:
-Support projects in pre-construction to ensure all required documentation and support is in place for the successful delivery of the Sustainability outcomes
-Supporting the delivery of Kier's Building for a Sustainable World framework and maintaining environmental compliance across projects
-Conducting environmental inspections and audits in line with
ISO14001
2015
-Report, and investigate environmental incidents and develop learning outcomes
-Collate and prepare sustainability metrics to report progress against agreed project objectives and targets
-Supporting internal operational teams and subcontractors to identify, meet and embed environmental requirements, innovations and best practices into live projects, and delivering relevant training where required
-Delivering sustainability targets for our clients including BREEAM, LEED, WELL, carbon and waste management
-Collating and preparing sustainability metrics to report progress, and chairing meetings to drive the sustainability agenda
-Promote the wellbeing of your team and ensure that an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, backgrounds and experience is actively encouraged and achieved
What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Environmental Advisor is great for you if
-You hold or are working towards PIEMA membership, with a degree in an environmental or scientific discipline (or equivalent experience)
-Have a good understanding of key sustainability principles and experience in successfully delivering environmental assessments such as BREEAM and carbon targets
-You have experience independently managing environmental incidents and can create and deliver training and presentations at all levels
-You're passionate about sustainability with knowledge of relevant environmental and planning legislation, and construction sustainability schemes
-Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with expert use of Office, PowerPoint and Excel, and the ability to travel to sites 3 days a week
-Experience of liaising with cross discipline teams, clients and external bodies and organisations.
-You have a desire to learn and continuously develop, with an ability to challenge established processes and policies, identifying more effective solutions.
