We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark that is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, with a strong focus on inclusion and individual progress.

Provide 1

1 and small group support for pupils with SEND

  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom activities
  • Support pupils in working towards their EHCP targets
  • Consistently implement behaviour support strategies
  • Encourage independence and positive learning behaviours
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development
  • Previous experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or within a SEND setting
  • A strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs
  • The ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils
  • A calm, consistent, and proactive approach to behaviour support
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Relevant SEND experience in an educational setting
