Angard Staffing is the dedicated staffing provider for Royal Mail Group, supporting a wide range of customer service and operational functions across the business. We work closely with Royal Mail to source skilled customer service professionals who can support frontline operations, customer contact activity, and internal teams.
Due to ongoing operational requirements, we are seeking flexible and customer‑focused individuals to join a temporary Customer Operations Support assignment, delivering hands‑on operational and customer service support within a fast‑paced Royal Mail environment.
The Role
This role will act as a primary point of contact for commercial customers via telephone and email, ensuring service‑related enquiries are handled accurately and in a timely manner. The focus is on delivering high‑quality customer service while supporting operational teams through data handling, reporting, and administrative tasks. Training and system support will be provided as part of the induction.

Hours
- Typically 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during peak periods

- Weekday training only
- Start time between 08:00 – 09:30, finishing by 17:00
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the primary contact for telephone calls and emails relating to:
- Customer collection bookings
- Cancellations and amendments
- Service-related issues
- Provide accurate, professional customer service within agreed handling times.
- Support operational floor activities, including:
- Parcel checks and samplings
- Collation of collection and forecast sheets
- Analyse forecasts and statistics for reporting purposes.
- Work closely with internal departments, including:
- Operations
- Distribution
- Planning
- Revenue Protection
- Update and maintain internal systems, including learning and using the RMG MCS system (training provided).
- Carry out general administrative duties, including confidential HR-related tasks.
- Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyse data, including pivot tables.
Skills & Experience
- Confident, professional telephone manner.
- Strong customer service focus with a desire to deliver high-quality service.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage data accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Comfortable handling emails and calls as part of a customer service environment.
- Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Flexible and responsive to changing business and customer demands.
- Willingness to learn internal systems and processes.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
