Maintenance Team Leader

About this role

Are you an experienced maintenance professional with a background in social housing? Looking to step into (or continue in) a leadership role where you can make a real impact on residents' homes and services?

We're partnering with a well-established Housing Association managing around 900 properties across London, who are seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to join their tea

This is a varied, hands-on position combining team leadership, contractor management, and technical oversight. You'll play a key role in ensuring repairs and maintenance services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with residents at the heart of everything.

Key duties include

  • Managing and supporting a team of 2 Maintenance Officers
  • Overseeing responsive repairs and planned maintenance works
  • Monitoring contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs
  • Handling Stage 1 & 2 complaints and resolving escalations
  • Attending complex repairs and providing technical guidance
  • Managing a small number of disrepair cases
  • Ensuring full compliance with building regulations and safety standards

About You

We're looking for someone who

  • Has experience within social housing, local authority, or housing association settings
  • Is confident with building regulations and compliance (gas, electrical, fire safety)
  • Has experience managing contractors and service delivery
  • Is comfortable handling complaints and working in a tenant-facing environment
  • Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities

Salary

£50,000 - £55,000

Hybrid working (4 days office-based, Fridays from home)
