About this role
Greeting in a pleasant and friendly manner all callers at reception. Answering the telephone quickly and dealing with or redirecting enquirers. Running the appointment system including making appointments and encouraging patients to use the check in system. Recording messages and home visit requests in the appropriate book legibly and accurately. Handing out repeat prescriptions to patients or their representatives. Handling general enquirers and give out test results or referring to a more experienced Receptionist or Doctor if in doubt. Preparing repeat prescriptions and repeat sick certificates for Doctors to sign. Dealing with patient queries on front desk.
