Long Term Futures is seeking a caring, attentive and nurturing Nursery Assistant to support a baby room within a welcoming and well-established nursery in Walthamstow.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in early years or childcare, particularly working with babies, who understands the importance of creating a safe, calm and stimulating environment to support early development.

About the Role

Working closely with the nursery team, your responsibilities will include

* Supporting babies with daily care routines, including feeding, changing and sleep schedules

* Creating a safe, warm and nurturing environment for young children

* Supporting early sensory and developmental activities

* Building strong relationships with children, staff and parents

* Maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and safeguarding

* Assisting with setting up activities and keeping the room organised

* Observing and supporting early development milestones

This is a hands-on role where patience, attentiveness and a genuine passion for early years care are essential.

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Experience working in a nursery or early years setting, ideally with babies

* Understanding of early childhood development

* Calm, caring and nurturing approach

* Comfortable supporting personal care routines

* Reliable, proactive and able to work as part of a team
