A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Acton is seeking a SENDCo to join their team from September. This is a full-time, permanent position suited to an experienced teacher with a strong commitment to SEND provision, inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs.

SENDCo - The Role

Leading and managing SEND provision across the school

Identifying, assessing and monitoring pupils with additional needs

Supporting teachers with planning and adapting learning

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team

Liaising with parents, carers and external agencies

Ensuring SEND provision meets statutory requirements

Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards / relevant experience)

Experience supporting pupils with SEND

Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice

Strong communication and leadership skills

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
