A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Acton is seeking a Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team from September. The school has a strong focus on early development, clear routines and supporting pupils as they transition through Key Stage 1.

Year 2 Teacher - The Role

Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 2 class

Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

Supporting phonics, reading and early development

Preparing pupils for end-of-year assessment

Creating a positive and structured classroom environment

Working collaboratively with colleagues and leadership

Who This Role Suits

Qualified Primary Teachers

KS1 specialists or Year 2 teachers

ECTs and experienced teachers

Practitioners confident with phonics and early assessment

Requirements

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Experience teaching in UK primary schools

Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and phonics

Strong classroom and behaviour management

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
