You’ll play a key role in helping CBS to support and realise our group vision of ‘co-operating to build more value for member owners every day’.
In this role, you’ll support our Billing and Admin Manager with invoicing dispute management, invoice processing, and other administrative tasks. We’ll look to you to review and process large volumes of invoices and make sure all billing processes run smoothly.
Why this role matters

What you’ll do
- Review and process high volumes of invoices
- Process and manage supplier disputes and recommended solutions
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure smooth billing processes for all our colleagues and customers
- Identify opportunities to improve our processes and work more efficiently
- Own the production and review of process documentation
- Provide new, and current, team members with the training and support they need to thrive
- Assist with any other responsibilities across the team, as required
What you’ll bring
We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:
- A basic understanding of accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- A willingness to learn new things, systems, and processes
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence to challenge processes and share improvement ideas
- The ability to support colleagues and distribute work across team members
Why Co-op?

We’re an organisation that puts people and communities first, and we’re powered by purpose. We want this to be a place where you can thrive, so you’ll also receive:
- 28 days holiday (pro-rata) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- 30% discount on Co-op products and 10% off other brands
- Stream – early access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
- Virtual healthcare including GP appointments, mental health support, nutrition and fitness advice
- 24/7 colleague support service
- Training and support for your development and career progression
- Cycle-to-work scheme
